Patrick O’Rourke began his love affair with the gaming at a very young age. Growing up he'd often spend hours watching his older brothers playing video games. Tricking their little brother, they would give him a faulty game controller to make him think he was controlling the game's enemies. Now at the age of 23, having studied Journalism at Ryerson University, he is building his name within the gaming community in Toronto. In 2011 he completed an internship as an editor at Postmedia's Canada.com, honing his skills as a writer. He also worked for Postmedia as a social media coordinator and managed Decision Canada's various social media accounts. This year he was a devoted participant in Gamercamp, offering his talents in social media and writing to help promote the growing yearly celebration of gaming culture. Today he sits at the helm of GameJudgment.com as the opinions based gaming website's founder and Editor-In-Chief. He leads a small but dedicated staff of similarly minded game enthusiasts and has managed to bring the site's reach to 5000 unique viewers a week. Patrick also freelance's technology and gaming related articles for the National Post, Bitmob and Canada.com. Patrick has recently taken up a new challenge and entered the field of public relations. He is in the process of completing a graduate certificate program in public relations and corporate communications at Centennial College. |
